No wedding guest is actually sitting there comparing real people's ceremonies and receptions to random Pinterest photos. Guests are there to celebrate the couple… Getting in your head and destroying your personal relationships because you've convinced yourself otherwise is just sad.

This woman has proven to not be a real friend by any definition of the word. Our narrator may not realize it yet, but this whole situation was a blessing.

Stuck-up bride replaces maid of honor due to her weight, claiming that she doesn't fit her wedding “aesthetic," ex-MOH cuts her off for good: ‘Real friends build each other up, not break each other down!’
A best friend is supposed to be the person that cheers you on no matter what; she's right there by your side for all of the ups and downs that life has to offer. Whether you're celebrating a promotion, lamenting a bad haircut, or weighing questionable life choices at 2 a.m., she's got your back. Unfortunately, sometimes the people that you trust the most can shock you in unexpected ways.
When one woman learned she was being replaced as her bestie's maid of honor because she wouldn't match the "aesthetic" unless she lost weight before the wedding, she felt betrayed. Years of friendship, inside jokes, and shared milestones were suddenly reduced to a number on a scale.
What would you do if someone you've been through so much of your life with made you feel disposable over something so shallow? I'll tell you what I'd do: I would cut her out of my life immediately with no remorse! And that's exactly what this ex-MOH did; some of their mutual friends found her actions extreme, making excuses for the bride in question. "She's stressed," they said. But listen, I'm just two months away from my own wedding, and I'd never think to treat a friend this way no matter how many weird stress dreams I'm having. If someone shows you that they value an "aesthetic" over your literal decades-long friendship, believe them and move on.
